Beach Hits Radio is looking for interns to participate in the 2022 PROMOTIONS SEASON. The intern program is designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities in a Streaming Radio Station setting, that requires teamwork with interns from other disciplines like Media, Music, Event Planning, Photography, Journalism, Video Productions, Design, & more.

The program interns must have some working knowledge of email, social media, texting & virtual communications (live streaming, REELS, etc.) and have an interest in local Gulf Coast events & Live Music.

Potential Duties Include:

• Attendance & Participation in select community events as a representative of Beach Hits Radio

• Collaborate with lead staff on new ideas, directions, and opportunities for public relations

• Assist with content creation for Beach Hits Radio's website and social media

• Assist with scheduling & coordination of various events

• Attend select community music events, including concerts, live shows, festivals, etc.

• Photography and video editing skills are a plus

 

Qualifications:

• Love being around people in public places

• Own a good camera or mobile device capable of taking pictures and communications

• Preferable background or interest in Communications, Marketing, PR, or related field

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

• 21+ is preferred as work in and around venues that serve alcohol 

• Working knowledge of social media platforms

• Ability to communicate with colleagues and community contacts in a professional manner

• Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to follow through

 

Physical Requirements

• Must be willing to work flexible schedules. Some nights and weekends

• Ability to work in the field or outside, able to bend, stoop, climb and walk on uneven terrain and pavements, concrete, grass, dirt and gravel
